A Bit About Us

This website was created with the Mommy Shopaholic in mind!  Trendy clothes, unique services, and fabulous boutique finds can all be found here, including: reviews of the latest and greatest in baby gear, stylish tots, and anything uber chic for moms.

So what makes us experts?  Well, we’re two moms with a weakness for the cool, hip and trendy.  We love everything designer – but at prices that won’t break the bank.  You’re a mom – and we know you’re yummy just like your kids.  The goal of S4B is to provide you with a stress free shopping experience while introducing you to a world of “can’t-be found-in-the-mainstream” finds that are as unique as you and your babies!  Plus we are total shopping addicts who love showcasing “Mommy-preneurs”, Canadian talents, and hot items.

Visit S4B often as we’ll be reviewing collections and lines, and updating our blog regularly.  Plus, learn about exclusive events like A Mommy Soiree and our Mommy-Preneur Network.  Join our community www.shopforbaby.ning.com and get connected with mommies across Canada!

Best,

Shop for baby  & Team

Mirjana  ( M) is addicted to shopping.  She’s not just into buying pretty things for herself, but hip, trendy, and hard-to-find gear for her little ones too.  Shop for Baby (S4B) grew out of this passion when she left the corporate world 18 months after having her daughter, and couldn’t find a pair of functional – yet fashionable shoes for Baby M.  What were a Mommy and her baby girl to do?

Well…she went straight to her computer and started combing the internet for everything baby chic.  Two kids and two baby carriers later, M is sharing her finds with other trendy mommies across Canada – bringing them a one-stop shopping website that showcases unique services, speciality products and all things baby boutique.  With a keen eye for the extraordinary and distinctively different, she created S4B to satisfy the Mommy Shopaholic – from stylish shoes for tots and toddlers, one of kind baby carriers, to fabulous up-to-the-minute designer clothes.

Aside from shopping, M has other addictions:  She’s an espresso-drinking yoga-loving mama who’s addicted to her darling husband, sweet daughter, and adorable son.  Although she’s virtually lived in her Lululemon Athletic wear for the past 3 years since trading in her briefcase, every once in a while she pulls out her favourite LBD, sports gorgeous Stella & Dot jewels, to go out on fabulous dates nights with her hubbie.

Steffie is the owner and principal photographer of Life in the Moment Photography.  She is also a blogger, fashionista, shopaholic, Stella & Dot fanatic, and most importantly, wife/mommy-extraordinaire – well at least her hubbie and kids think so!  Born in Toronto, she grew up in the suburbs of Mississauga and spent her time between the two cities.

Steffie graduated from the University of Toronto, and established a career in the IT industry as a marketing and sales professional; but she always had a penchant for photography and use to borrow her dad’s Canon SLR as a teenager.  Over the last few years, Stephanie decided that photography was her real passion, instead of Consumer Electronics (what a snore…zzzz!), and began capturing extraordinary and unforgettable moments for families, yummy mummies and kids of all ages. Although Stephanie swore that when she was old like her parents she’d move back into the big city – she now resides most comfortably in the ‘burbs, surrounded by Scorpios and testosterone, with her husband and two young sons.  She is thankful for the family dog, which is the only other source of estrogen in the house.

You can learn more about Stephanie’s photography at www.lifeinthemoment.ca; and by following her Shop for Baby Blog about photography tips and how-to’s on making your kids sit still for those darn pictures.
